What This Is
A canonical one-page orientation to the We The People Platform.
Single source of truth — referenced by the bot mirror, by external handoff prompts, and anywhere else a short orientation paragraph is needed. If you find yourself describing the platform in a new place, link here or paste from here rather than restating. Auto-generated from manifest dot json by tools slash build orientation docs dot py; do not hand-edit.
The orientation paragraph
We The People Platform is a citizen-built policy architecture proposing a foundation for shared prosperity in the United States. Tagline: Twelve Pillars. One Foundation. An Architecture for Shared Prosperity. The platform is organized around twelve pillars: Community Contribution Plan, Empirical Wage Floors, Sovereign Education Fund, Universal Healthcare Access, Universal Childcare, Universal Mental Health Access, Civic Infrastructure, Universal Paid Family Time, Universal Long-Term Care, Federal Housing Investment, Climate Architecture, and Immigration Architecture. Two flagship methodological pieces sit underneath: a BLS-OEWS-anchored empirical wage-floor methodology (twenty-fifth percentile by occupation, region-adjusted, recalibrated annually); and a universal healthcare cost baseline anchored to CMS National Health Expenditure 2023 data, with a stated target of $9,500 per-capita spending by Year 15 (down from the registered per-capita baseline — roughly a thirty-five percent real-spending reduction). The architecture also includes a Sovereign Investment Fund, high-earner surcharge thresholds, and wealth-tax provisions (with direct-tax-clause concerns flagged for legal review). Empirical anchors include Dube and Zipperer 2024 NBER WP 32472, Germany Pflegeversicherung, the UK NHS, and Norway Government Pension Fund Global. The platform is honest about what is reviewed versus what still needs credentialed expert review: the Tracked Issues Registry contains one-hundred-fifteen items spanning architectural, research, persona-simulation, and process categories; sixty-five are CLOSED (content complete) and fifty are OPEN (pending external expertise, which is documented). All one-hundred-fifteen are Mitigated equals Y under the v3.1.2 criterion (the lead author's documentation responsibility is fulfilled). The canonical historical source for the registry is Section 47 of the OIR Iteration Archive, preserved with that literal heading. The package currently contains one-hundred-sixty-three documents organized across nine top-level folders. Live site: wethepeopleplatform.com. When to update this doc
Do not hand-edit this docx. Edit the template inside tools slash build orientation docs dot py and re-run the script. The doc inherits its current numerics (pillar count, document count, Tracked Issues counts, methodology source baselines) from manifest dot json, so any release that bumps those values will produce updated prose on the next regeneration.
Run order in the build pipeline: tools slash build manifest dot py first (refresh manifest dot json from the catalog), then tools slash build orientation docs dot py (this script), then tools slash build bot mirror dot py (regenerate the slash bots slash subtree), then tools slash build cloudflare worker meta dot py (sync PLATFORM META in the worker), then the normal release boilerplate.
Honest framing reminders
Citizen-built means citizen-built. The lead author is not a credentialed economist or policy scholar. The platform is a roadmap and a starting point, not a tested policy program. The fifty OPEN items in the Tracked Issues Registry require external expert validation. Any external description (outreach messages, bot mirror, third-party citations) should preserve this framing rather than simplifying it away.
